Our physiotherapists are highly trained professionals with expertise in a variety of areas.
Sally Hill, M.H.Sc Ed; B.App.Sc(Phty)
Sally established Leeton Physiotherapy Centre in 1995. She has 30 years clinical experience with expertise in manual therapy, sports physiotherapy, workplace health and safety, orthopaedics and hand therapy. Sally has worked closely with local and representative rugby union teams including the Leeton Phantoms, and also worked as a physiotherapist at the 2000 Olympic Games. She has recently undertaken training in Clinical Pilates.
Craig Townsend, B.Physio
Craig returned to his hometown and joined the practice in 2014 as a new graduate from the Physiotherapy course at Charles Sturt, Albury. Craig’s areas of interest include musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation. Since graduating he has completed additional training in workplace health and safety, and dry needling.
Emily McCarthy, B.Physio
Emily McCarthy joined our team in June 2017. Emily graduated 2 and ½ years earlier from Charles Sturt University, and has been working in private practice in Wagga before moving to Leeton. Emily’s areas of clinical interest include management of acute musculoskeletal injuries, orthopaedic rehabilitation, and treatment of shoulder injuries.
Clare grew up in Narrandera, studying physiotherapy at CSU in Orange. As part of her training she undertook a clinical placement here at Leeton Physiotherapy Centre, and joined our team after graduating in late 2017. Clare’s areas of clinical interest include musculoskeletal physiotherapy, paediatrics and women’s health.
Megan Vearing is our latest team member, starting work at Leeton Physiotherapy Centre in March 2018. Megan grew up in Rankin Springs, studying Exercise Science and Rehabilitation in Wollongong, before undertaking a Masters in Physiotherapy at Sydney University. Megan’s areas of clinical interest include musculoskeletal physiotherapy, orthopaedics and exercise prescription.
Kristen Johnstone, Practice Manager
Kristen Johnstone, Practice Manager Kristen joined our team in May 2015, and was promoted to the position of Practice Manager in May 2016. Kristen oversees the management of office staff and reception, while co-ordinating all of the various activities of our physiotherapists and visiting allied health professionals. Kristen ensures that things at Leeton and Temora Physiotherapy Centres run smoothly and she manages to do all this with a smile on her face!! A skilled multi-tasker, we would be lost without her. Sharon Elwin, Office Administrator
Sharon is a Leeton local who joined our team in May 2016. Sharon assists Kristen in keeping the office running smoothly and provides excellent customer service at reception. Sharon will be happy to answer your calls and assist in your enquiry or making your appointment.
